General Construction & Company Questions
What makes your company different from other builders?
We’re a multi-generation, family-owned business focused on craftsmanship, transparency, and long-term relationships.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes – we are fully licensed in the state of Massachusetts, although the state of New Hampshire does not require licensing. We, along with all of our subcontractors, are fully insured.
Do you handle everything in-house or use subcontractors?
We have trusted in-house crews and long-term subcontractor relationships for specialized trades like electrical and plumbing. As a general contractor, we establish relationships with our subcontractors that make them an extension of our in-house team while allowing us to handle a large volume of work.
What types of residential projects do you specialize in?
We focus on custom new home construction, whole-home remodels, large-scale renovations, and insurance restoration work.
Custom New Home Builds
How long does it take to build a custom home from start to finish?
It typically takes 5-6 months depending on size, design complexity, permitting, and weather.
Can you help with both the design and the build?
Yes – we offer full design-build services, guiding you from architectural planning through the final walkthrough.
Do I need to already own land before contacting you?
Not necessarily. We can help you evaluate property you’re considering purchasing to ensure it fits your project goals.
Can I make changes to the design during construction?
Yes – we allow change orders, though they may affect cost and timelines.
Do you work with construction loans?
Yes – we work with construction loans and are very familiar with the process. We are happy to handle the communications with the bank as well as scheduling their required inspections along the way.
Remodeling & Renovations
Do you only handle full-house remodels, or smaller projects too?
We specialize in large remodels—such as whole-home renovations, kitchen and bathroom transformations, and structural updates. When schedule allows we do take on smaller projects, so we encourage clients to always contact us. If we can’t help, we will do our best to direct you to someone who can.
Will I need to move out during the remodel?
It depends on the scope. We’ll advise based on safety, access, and how disruptive the work will be.
How do you handle budgeting and cost changes during a remodel?
We provide detailed scope of work upfront, and all changes are documented and approved before proceeding.
Insurance Restoration
Do you work with insurance companies?
Yes – we’ve worked with all major carriers and can help you navigate the claims process. We will work directly with your adjuster to ensure the scope and dollar value is accurate for your project and within the insurance guidelines.
Can you help after fire, water, or storm damage?
Absolutely. We specialize in restoring homes after disasters, from repair work to full reconstruction.
How quickly can you start after a disaster?
We prioritize emergency repairs and stabilization first. A project manager will guide the timeline from the start.

How is pricing determined?
We will discuss your project and budget in detail. We will guide you through the many different options for both design and materials used to help tailor your project to meet all of your goals. Transparency is a core value when it comes to design development and the associated costs of the selections made.
How often will I get updates during the project?
You’ll receive regular updates from your dedicated project manager, including photos, progress reports, and schedule check-ins. These updates are minimally sent once a week, but often are sent more frequently.
Do you offer warranties on your work?
Yes – we stand behind our craftsmanship and offer warranties on labor and materials.
