Our History
Tom Dube was DRIVEN from a young age, growing up in Haverhill, MA, with six brothers and sisters. Tom would go to work on the weekends with his Dad, working on heavy equipment and changing dump truck tires at eight years old. The day he made his first $5.00, he was kicked into DRIVE. After working at the shop over the next couple of years, in 1972, a brand new green dump truck rolled into the shop and Tom knew he wanted to drive that truck when he turned 18.
“I started DEVELOPING skills to drive that truck, like sitting in the driver seat! Being RELENTLESS, asking everyone if they would give me a ride in it, seeing if my dad would let me drive it around the yard or maybe just start it up. I was still IMAGINING myself as a young teenager driving that truck! Other things in my life were creeping in like ice hockey, other sports, girls and there were so many choices, but my mind was on that truck. My dad and the leaders in the company made me become more VERSATILE, by helping insulate houses, tar foundations, shovel and rake more dirt; everything but drive my truck! Well, who would have thought that getting my regular drivers license would have opened up more doors like getting to drive myself to work, getting dirty, working on old trucks and driving them. I was EXECUTING everything that they were asking me to do. Then at 16, they let me drive another truck around the yard and in and out of the shop, shifting gears, practicing to get my Class A license. I was Selling my Success with a Smile. Now, would they let me or even want me to drive the truck for them? Well, they wanted me, and the day I turn 18 I got my license and drove the truck, and now I own it!” – Tom Dube
This is a simple story of the devotion of Tom Dube that lives long beyond him. In 1989, he started Dube Plus Construction with over 20 years in the Building and Dirt industry. Starting out working on small home additions and condominium maintenance, the business was successful from the start. As the company grew in size, it expanded its expertise to Custom and spec homes, excavation developments, large scale remodels and insurance restoration, significantly growing its team and capabilities, while keeping its purpose of planning and working with customers as its first priority, never loosing the drive that Tom had at an early age. Putting in the work to get the best outcome for all.
Today, Dube Plus proudly serves communities all over New Hampshire, Southern, Seacoast and, the Lakes Region as well as Northern Massachusetts, remaining steadfast in upholding Tom’s Original vision: delivering exceptional quality and a customer-centric approach to every project.

Our Process
The design-build process involves an integrated team where the designers responsible for the project’s design and the construction crew building the project work closely together. This collaboration occurs within a single office, resulting in lower costs, faster delivery times, and fewer change orders. The outline below details the design-build process we employ.
Initial Contact
Call our office at (603) 329-5077 to connect with a Dube Plus team member who can answer your questions and showcase our work. This brief call will help us discuss your custom home or remodeling project ideas, budget, and timeline, and we can schedule an in-home consultation if you find us a good fit.
Review Meeting
Next, we’ll meet to review the scope of work and discuss project options. We want to capture your ideas accurately and align with your objectives. We will also discuss any zoning and environmental issues that may impact the project. At this meeting we will collect all the information we need to take back to our office to provide you with an initial proposal for your project.
Design Stage
The design stage involves final measurements and drafting preliminary drawings. We’ll present a complete set of plans, including specifications and elevations. Key tasks during this stage include: – Taking field measurements and producing as-built drawings, as well as finalizing the layout of the new design.
Construction
Your project will then be assigned a construction schedule slot. Prior to starting, a pre-construction conference will align you and the project team on details like the dumpster location, hours of operation, and other on-site specifics. From this point, the production team will become the primary point of contact and will provide regular project updates.
Start of Construction
The construction may begin with demolition or excavation, following the established schedule until completion. During the final days, you will conduct a walk-through and prepare a punch list for finishing touches.
Ongoing Service and Warranty
We stand by our workmanship with a Two-Year Warranty Program. While we strive for perfection, minor issues may arise due to seasonal changes. Our warranty covers typical concerns such as misaligned doors and minor separations in molding.
